Getting started
How do I install VoiceDOM? + −
Install the extension from the Chrome Web Store. Once added, click the VoiceDOM icon in your toolbar to open the panel and add your transcription API key in Settings.
Which transcription providers are supported? + −
Groq, OpenAI Whisper, Deepgram, and ElevenLabs. You bring your own API key — it's stored locally in your browser and never sent to our servers.
Does it work on all websites? + −
Yes, including SPAs and modern frameworks. VoiceDOM uses non-destructive highlighting and React fiber detection so it works on dynamic apps without breaking anything.
Using VoiceDOM
Is this only for voice notes? + −
No. Voice is the input — the output is clean transcription linked to exact UI elements, ready for AI handoff. Think of it as structured context, not just voice notes.
Which AI coding tools does it work with? + −
Any tool that accepts text context — Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, and more. Copy the generated markdown or, on Pro, use the MCP server for direct integration.
Where are my annotations and API keys stored? + −
Locally in your browser profile, grouped by hostname. Nothing leaves your machine unless you explicitly export it or send audio to your chosen transcription provider.
What if transcription fails or returns wrong text? + −
Tap the retry button to re-send the audio, or switch to a different provider in Settings. Your saved annotations are never affected by a failed transcription.

What's included in the free tier? + −
Full voice annotation and transcription with no time limit. The free tier doesn't expire — use it as long as you want.
Is Pro a subscription or a one-time purchase? + −
One-time purchase of $19 — no recurring fees. You get lifetime access to all Pro features including the MCP server integration.
Can I get a refund? + −
Yes. If Pro isn't working for you, email support@voicedom.dev within 30 days of purchase and we'll make it right.
